Malinda's Fudge

from Mom's Recipe Box

4-1/2 c. sugar
1 cube butter
1 12-oz. can evaporated milk
1 7-oz. bottle marshmallow creme
1 12-oz. pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 lg. (7 oz. each) Hershey bars, chopped
1 tsp. vanilla

Butter two 9 x 9 inch square pans. Butter saucepan before adding ingredients to cook. Boil sugar, butter and evaporated milk together stirring constantly for 4 minutes from time of boil. Remove from heat and add marshmallow creme and stir until blended. Add chocolate chips and hershey bars and stir until smooth. Add vanilla and pour into prepared pans. Cool several hours before cutting.
